You can find us at number 6 in the Ankur Industrial Complex over in Shaper, near Veraval. It’s a busy industrial hub, so there’s always the sound of hammers or machines in the background. Gujarat Alloys Cast has been tucked away in this unit for a long time. We do casting work, which means it’s usually pretty greasy and hot inside the shed. We don’t have a big sign out front, just the unit number and the company name on the gate. The complex is always full of activity, with people moving scrap or finished parts on small carts. Our day starts before the sun gets too high because the heat from the furnaces makes the afternoons tough. We’re not the type of company that has a big fancy boardroom. Our meetings happen on the floor or over a quick cup of tea near the entrance. The floor is covered in sand and bits of metal, and that’s just how it stays. We’ve got a core group of workers who have been with us since we started here in Shaper. We just try to get the orders right and keep the machines from breaking down too often.
