Gujarat Agro Engineering

Our workshop, Gujarat Agro Engineering, sits at Plot No. 13 on Survey No. 34. We’re right across from the Somnath Ice Factory and the Shamtidham Bus Stop. Having the bus stop nearby means there are always people walking past. It's a busy corner of the road. We deal with all sorts of agricultural engineering tasks. Most days involve fixing broken parts or putting together new machines for local farms. There’s always the smell of oil and burnt metal in the air. My hands are rarely clean, but that’s the nature of this work. We have a lot of old tools that still work better than the new ones. The shop is a bit cluttered, but we know exactly where everything is kept. If a farmer brings in a tractor part that's seen better days, we do our best to get it working again. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice suit. We usually have a radio playing in the background to keep things lively. The ice factory across the street is a good neighbor to have when the weather gets unbearable. Sometimes we walk over there just to stand in the cool air for a minute. We don't have a big marketing department. People just see our sign when they're waiting for the bus and eventually stop in when they need something repaired.
