Parsana Society is a quiet enough spot, though 50-Feet Road gets busy during the morning rush. Golden Time is tucked into Divyata, at the 3/4 spot. We spend most of our days sitting behind the glass counters. It’s mostly just us and the ticking sounds from the wall clocks. Some people come in because they need a battery changed or a strap fixed, and they usually wait while we do it. The sunlight hits the front window pretty hard in the afternoons, so we usually pull the shade down a bit. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for the display cases and a small workbench in the back where the tools are kept. Sometimes the neighbor from the next shop drops by for tea and we just talk about how the road has changed over the years. We’ve seen kids grow up and start coming in with their own watches. It’s a steady kind of life. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. Just the things people need. Most of our tools are old but they still work fine. You get used to the rhythm of the street out there. Sometimes a customer comes in looking for something very specific they saw online and we have to explain why we don't have it. But mostly, it’s just the usual crowd from around the society. We keep things simple and try to get the work done by the time people come back from their offices.
