Giriraj Industries

We are located in the K. J. Kotecha Trust Building, right across from the Bhaktiagar Station here in Rajkot. Being near the station means there is always noise and people moving around, which we’ve gotten used to over the years. Giriraj Industries has been operating out of this spot for quite a while. We do a lot of machining and small parts manufacturing. The building is a bit older, so the stairs creak and the windows rattle when the trains go by. Inside, we have several lathes and milling machines that keep us busy from eight in the morning until late. I took over the place from my father, and not much has changed since then, except maybe some newer tools. We don't do much in the way of fancy brochures or sales pitches. Most of our customers are other businesses in Rajkot who have known us for decades. We just keep the machines oiled and the floor swept as best as we can. It’s greasy work, and my hands are usually stained black by the time I head home. We have a small crew, just local guys who know their way around an engine or a blueprint. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. We just take one order at a time and try to get it right.
