Innovative Overseas

Innovative Overseas is located over at Plot No. 28-D in the GIDC Bhaktinagar Industrial Area. It’s a pretty old part of town and the streets are always full of people moving stuff. Our building is tucked away a bit, but you can usually tell where we are by the stacks of crates near the entrance. Dealing with overseas stuff means we spend a lot of time on the phone or checking emails at odd hours. The time zones can be a real headache sometimes. I usually have a half-eaten sandwich on my desk because lunch gets interrupted by a call from someone far away. We handle a lot of paperwork. Customs forms and shipping labels are basically what we look at all day. It’s not very glamorous. The warehouse gets quite stuffy in the summer months so we keep the big doors open. You can hear all the noise from the other shops nearby. Sometimes we get shipments that are late and everyone gets a bit stressed out trying to catch up. But mostly, we just keep at it. We’ve got a good routine down now. The guys in the back are fast at packing things up. We don't really do big meetings or anything. We just talk across the room. It’s a simple way of working that seems to suit us just fine. We just try to keep things moving as best as we can.
