U. V. Cotton & Oil Industries

We are located out in Ghomta, which is near Gondal. This is real cotton country out here. U. V. Cotton & Oil Industries is a busy place, especially when the harvest comes in. The smell of oil and raw cotton is something you get used to very quickly. We have a lot of space for the machinery and the storage of seeds. It is a very dusty job and the machines make a lot of noise, but that is how it goes in this industry. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us near the back checking on the presses or talking to the truck drivers. The yard is usually full of activity with sacks being moved around. It is a long day for everyone involved. We start when the sun comes up and we don’t stop until the work is done. It’s not a corporate office with suits; it’s more about getting your hands dirty and making sure the oil is flowing right. The weather really dictates how our weeks go. If it rains, things slow down, but usually, it's just hot and dry. We’ve been in Ghomta for a long time now. People around here know who we are and what we do. We just focus on the production and keeping the equipment running. It’s hard work, but it is what we know how to do best in this part of Gujarat.
