You can find our shop, Gayatri Puja Samgri & Dharmic Pushtak Bhandar, over at Shop No- 19 on Sadhu Wasnu Road. It is right by the Pan Tower if you are looking for a landmark. Panchayat Nagar is a pretty busy place, and being on the Rajkot University Road means there is always a lot of noise from the cars and motorbikes zooming past. We spend most of our mornings just dusting off the book covers and making sure the puja items are set out properly on the shelves. It is a lot of work keeping all those small incense packets, religious texts, and copper vessels in some kind of order. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a quick break to chat. People come in looking for very specific things, maybe a book their grandmother told them they had to read, or they need a certain type of wick for their oil lamps. We have been in this spot for a while now. The walls are a bit crowded with metal shelves and there really isn't much room to move when more than a couple of people come in at the same time. We don't have fancy lights or anything like that. Just the basic tube lights that flicker a bit when the power gets a bit shaky. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially when the summer sun hits the road. We just keep the fan going and wait for the evening when things cool down.
