We've been here on the Rajkot - Gondal National Highway for a while now. It's a busy spot in Shapar. The shop floor is always loud with the hammers going. Ganga Forging Pvt. Ltd. isn't fancy, just a lot of metal and heat. Most of us have been working these machines for years. We handle the forging work right here at Plot No.1. It gets hot, especially in the summers, but that’s just how the job is. The highway outside is always full of trucks moving parts in and out of the Tal.Kotadasangan area. Sometimes the tea stall down the road is the best part of the afternoon break. We don't have a big office with air conditioning. It's mostly just the workshop and the smell of grease. People come to us when they need parts made. We just get on with it. There’s a rhythm to the work here in Shapar(Veraval). You see the same faces every morning at the gate. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s steady. We make sure the pieces are right before they go onto the truck. If someone stops by, they’ll usually find us near the back where the big presses are. We’ve seen the area grow a lot since we started at Survey No.298 30. It used to be much quieter around here in Dist Rajkot. Now, it's all industry. We just keep our heads down and keep the metal moving, making sure everything is done as it should be.
