Down on 50 Feet Road in Rajkot City, you can find us at 8, Parsana Society. It’s a decent-sized spot where we do all our turning work. Most days, the sound of the lathes is the first thing you hear when you walk in. We have got metal shavings on the floor and oil on our clothes by noon, but that is the nature of the business. We started this because we knew how to work the machines, and we just kept going from there. We don't have a big corporate office or anyone wearing suits. It’s just a group of us who know how to handle the tools and get the parts turned to the right specifications. People in the society know us well, and we often have neighbors sticking their heads in to say hello while we’re mid-job. We handle a lot of different pieces, some small and some quite heavy. It takes a bit of patience to get everything lined up properly, and we don't like to rush if it means making a mistake. The heat in Rajkot can be something else, so we usually have the big doors open to catch whatever breeze comes down the road. We keep our tools sharp and our machines oiled, and that’s about all there is to it. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure the parts we send out are right.
