Our place, Crystal Forge, is located in the Aji Industrial Area, specifically at C-1, 283 in GIDC Phase II. It’s an industrial neighborhood, so there is always noise and movement nearby. We have been working out of this unit for a long time. The floors are concrete and usually have some metal scraps lying around until we sweep up at the end of the shift. Working in a forge means dealing with a lot of heat and heavy equipment. It isn't a clean office job. Most of us have been doing this for years, so we know the sounds the machines make when they are running right. GIDC is a busy place to be. There’s always someone moving parts or unloading a truck on the street right outside our door. We just keep our heads down and get through the pile of work on the desk. We don’t have a big front office with fancy chairs. Usually, if someone comes to see us, we just talk right there on the shop floor. It’s simpler that way. Some days are longer than others, especially when a big order comes in and we have to stay late to keep the furnaces running. We’ve seen the area change a bit over the years, but our shop stays pretty much the same. It’s a practical space for practical work, and we are fine with that. We just focus on the task at hand.
