Chinmay International

Chinmay International is on the first floor of the Haren building, right at Trikon Baug. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always noise from the buses and rickshaws outside. We can see the whole square from our windows. The office is a bit cramped because we have so many samples and documents everywhere. We mostly deal with international trade and various export-import bits. It’s a lot of time spent on the computer and talking to people in different time zones. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just part of living and working here. We are a small crew, just a few of us trying to keep everything organized. We don't have a fancy coffee machine or lounge area. We just have our desks and a small table where we eat our lunch. The Haren building is pretty central, which makes it easy for people to find us, though the stairs can be a bit steep if you aren't used to them. We’ve been in this office for years and have no plans to move. It’s a practical spot for a business like ours. We don't worry about being the biggest or the flashiest. We just focus on our clients and making sure the shipments move smoothly from one place to another. There’s usually someone here from nine to six, unless we’re out at the docks checking on a container.
