Brahmani Sales

If you ever find yourself walking down Street No. 4 in the Shrihari Industrial Area, you’ll probably see our sign. We are tucked in there near the Khodiyar Restaurant, which is a lucky thing because that’s where we usually grab our lunch. Brahmani Sales isn't a very large operation, but we stay busy enough with the coming and going of supplies. The Aji Ring Road is always humming with traffic, so there is a constant sound of trucks and bikes in the background. Our workspace is mostly filled with whatever we are moving that week. It can get pretty dusty with all the industrial activity around us, but that is just part of being in this part of town. We open up early and usually stay until the light starts to fade. There is a lot of heavy lifting involved most days, and my back definitely feels it by Friday. We aren't trying to do anything grand, just keeping the business running and making sure the orders are ready when people come to pick them up. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It gives us a chance to talk to the guys from the shop next door. It’s a simple way to work, really, just handling things as they come and making sure we don't lose track of the paperwork on the cluttered desk. We try to keep things moving.
