B. B. Cast

If you look for us in Mavdi Plot, you’ll find B. B. Cast right opposite Vrundavan Estate. We are tucked behind Bhuvneshwari Foundry on Amarnagar Main Road. This whole area is full of the smell of hot metal and the sound of hammers. It’s a tough place to work, especially during the summer months when the heat from the foundry work really builds up inside the walls. Our space isn't much to look at from the outside, just a typical industrial unit with some old paint and heavy doors. We spend most of our time dealing with casting work, so there is always sand and metal scrap around the floor. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear your best clothes. We have a routine that hasn't changed in years, starting with checking the molds and ending with clearing out the day's debris. The workers here are mostly local guys who have been doing this for a long time. We don't have a big marketing department or a website that looks professional. It’s just us doing the work that needs to be done. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait around for it to come back, which gives us a chance to sit outside on the stone steps for a bit and talk to the neighbors. It’s a basic operation but it is what we know how to do every day without complaining.
