Solaris Ceramics Pvt. Ltd. is located near Makansar Vid at Sartanpar in Wakener. It’s a busy part of the state for this kind of work. Most of our days are spent around the kilns or in the warehouse. The air usually stays thick with dust from the clay, but you get used to it after a while. Our office is just a small room with some old chairs and a desk covered in papers and samples. We don’t have any fancy displays or marketing people walking around. Most of the guys here are local and have been working with ceramics for years. We start early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. Once the sun comes up, it gets pretty hot in the yard. Trucks come in and out all day long. Loading them is a big job and takes a lot of coordination. Sometimes things get backed up and we have to stay late to finish. We don't have a big mission statement. Instead, we just focus on making sure the tiles are packed right and the orders go out on time. It’s a simple business. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the weather or the traffic. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in the yard or checking the machines. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It is not always easy but it keeps us going.
