If you're driving down the Morbi - Rajkot Highway, you'll probably see us near Virpar. We are right opposite the Ajanta Clock factory, which is a big landmark for everyone around here. Asian Flexi Pack India Pvt. Ltd. operates out of this spot in Tankara. It’s a busy stretch of road with lots of trucks going back and forth between Rajkot and Morbi. Our place is basically a big shed where we handle packaging materials and plastic films. The dust from the highway comes in if we leave the big front doors open too long during the dry season. We spend most of our days looking at rolls of plastic and adjusting the printing machines. It’s a lot of manual work and checking things over and over again. The heat in this part of Gujarat can get pretty intense in the summer, but we just keep the big fans going and get on with it. There’s a small office in the front where we handle the paperwork and take calls from customers. Most of the staff comes from the local villages nearby. We eat lunch together in the break area and talk about the news or what's happening in the town. It isn't a glamorous job, but it pays the bills. We’ve been at this location for a while now. The Ajanta Clock across the way helps people find us when they’re coming for the first time. It’s just a normal factory life for us, doing the same routine.
