Ananta Plastic Industries

We run Ananta Plastic Industries over at Plot No. E-5 in the Swastik Indl. Estate. It’s tucked away behind Ganga Forgings in the Shahpur area of Rajkot. Finding us for the first time can be a bit tricky because of the way the roads wind around the estate, but once you know where we are, it’s easy. We work with plastics all day long. The smell of melting plastic is something you never quite forget, but we don't mind it much anymore. Our workshop is busy from morning till night. We have different molds and machines that we’ve collected over the years. Some were bought new, others were second-hand and required a lot of tinkering to get them running. That’s how we do things here; we fix what we have and make it work. The staff here in Shahpur are hard workers. We don't have many formal meetings; we just talk while we work or over a quick cup of tea. It’s a practical environment. We don't really care much about being the biggest company in Rajkot. We just want to make sure the plastic parts we produce are decent and that our bills are paid. The rain can sometimes leak through a spot in the roof when it’s heavy, so we keep some buckets handy. It’s just part of being in an older industrial building. We like it here and plan to stay for a long time. It feels like home to us now.
