Amul Pump Industries

We are located over in the Samrat Industrial Area in Rajkot. The exact spot is 16, Sagar Estate Street, just off Gokuldham Main Road. It’s an industrial neighborhood, so there’s always the sound of machines and trucks moving around outside. We work with pumps. It’s greasy work sometimes, and our hands are rarely clean by lunchtime. We’ve got a small workshop area where we put things together and a little office space for the bills and files. It’s not a showroom. It’s a place where work happens. We started here because Rajkot is the right place for this kind of industry. Most of the guys working here live nearby. We know each other well. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We make pumps and we sell them to people who need them for their farms or small factories. Some days are slow and we just sit around the tea stall at the corner for a bit. Other days, we are rushing to finish an order before the transport truck leaves in the evening. The office gets a bit dusty with all the grit from the road, but we don't mind much. It’s part of being in Samrat. We have been at this address for a long time. People know the blue door of our unit. We just keep our heads down, do the assembly right, and hope the electricity doesn't go out too often. It’s just a regular business like any other.
