Our business, Alouette Foods Exim Private Limited, is based in Rajkot. We are in a building called Hari Om, located in Sardar Nagar on Street 7. Our specific spot is Block No. 29A. It’s right off Mavdi Road, which is a place most locals know well. We deal with food exports, so things can get pretty busy depending on the season. The office is part of a residential and commercial mix, so it feels very much like a home-grown operation. We have rooms filled with samples and records of everything we send out. Sometimes the street gets a bit blocked up with bikes and cars, but that is just part of being in Rajkot. We are a small group of people who just want to do a good job. We spend our days talking to farmers and buyers, trying to get the right food items to the right places. It’s a lot of checking for freshness and making sure the weights are correct. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just answers it. We’ve been at this Mavdi Road location for a long time. It suits us because it’s easy to get around from here. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep the business running smoothly without any unnecessary fuss. It is just about getting food to where it needs to go.
