Aastha Maternity & Surgical Hospital

Aastha Maternity & Surgical Hospital sits at No. 30-39 in the Karanpara area. We are very close to the S.T. Station, which is actually quite convenient for patients coming in from the nearby villages or other parts of the city by bus. Being in Karanpara means there is always something going on outside our doors. We mostly focus on two things here which are maternity cases and different kinds of surgeries. It is a place where you will hear babies crying one minute and then see someone being wheeled into a surgery room the next. The building is split into several units from 30 to 39 to accommodate everything we need. It is not some shiny new glass building, just a practical space where we have set up our beds and equipment over the years. The staff knows most of the regular faces around Karanpara because we have been part of this community for a long time. People come here when they are expecting a new family member or when a doctor tells them they need an operation. We don't have a lot of extra space for waiting, so it can feel a bit tight when families bring many relatives along. We just do our best to keep things moving and make sure everyone gets seen by the doctor eventually. It is a busy life here near the station but we like the routine.
