Out here at Sorthiyavadi 2/8, near Aardhana Chowk, is where we set up Shiv Fabrication. If you come by the shop, you will see a lot of iron rods and welding gear scattered around. It is not the cleanest place in the world, but it is a real workshop. We do a lot of metal work for the folks around here. Sometimes it’s a gate that needs fixing, or someone wants a sturdy frame for their house. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Usually, there is some tea being made in the corner and the sound of a grinder running. We like the work because we are good with our hands. Aardhana Chowk is a busy spot, so we see a lot of people passing by every day. We don't do any big advertising. Most people find us because they saw our sign or a neighbor told them we do decent welding. It’s just me and a couple of helpers most days. We wear boots and old clothes because of the sparks and the grease. There is always a layer of dust on everything, but that’s just how fabrication shops are. We work until the light goes or until the job is finished. It’s a simple life, making things out of metal and making sure they stay together. We just keep our heads down and finish the projects on time without any fuss. Most of the time, the radio is playing some music in the background to keep us going while we grind and weld away.
