We specialize in gears, which means we spend a lot of time around oil and metal shavings. The smell of cutting fluid is pretty much permanent in our clothes. My father started working with metal years ago, and I just sort of followed along into the business. We don't have a polished showroom with bright lights. Instead, we have shelves filled with different sizes of gears and a few heavy machines that have been running since 360002 was just a new pin code. People come to us when they need something specific for a tractor or a piece of factory equipment. We don't use any high-tech sales tactics; we just show them what we have and tell them if it will work or not. The traffic in Main Nagar can get pretty bad during the afternoons, so we usually get our shipping done early in the morning. It’s a lot of repetitive work, cutting teeth into metal disks day after day, but there is a certain satisfaction when a set fits together perfectly. We just keep our heads down, do the work, and hope the electricity doesn't cut out while we’re in the middle of a delicate cut on a big order.
