Our small office is located in Village Kolan, which is part of the Thor Niwar post office area. We are way up in the Rajgarh tehsil, near Baru Sahib. It is a beautiful place to work because you are surrounded by the hills and the air is much cleaner than in the plains. We are a small outfit, mostly just family and a few neighbors helping out. We do not have a big industrial setup. Instead, we work out of a modest building that has been here for years. We deal with local goods and help get them to the market. Most of our business is done through word of mouth and long-standing relationships with the local farmers. We do not have high-speed internet or fancy computers. We keep our records in notebooks and talk to people face-to-face. Sometimes when the weather is bad, the roads get blocked and we cannot move any stock for a few days. We just use that time to organize the store or have a long tea break. It is a slow way of doing things, but it works for us. We are not looking to expand into a giant company. We just like being part of the village and doing our work quietly. It is a simple life and we are quite content with the way things are going.
