About Neelam Eet Udyog – Food & Beverages in Rajgarh
Neelam Eet Udyog is located out in Bhagirath Pur, right near Post-Pandula. If you are looking for us, you have to head out that way, away from the main town noise. We make eet, which are the traditional clay bricks. The yard is quite big and there is always smoke from the kiln. It is a very physical job. We dig the clay from the earth, mix it with water, and mold it into shapes by hand or with simple tools. Then they have to dry out in the sun before they go into the fire. Post-Pandula is our mailing address, but the real work happens in the fields of Bhagirath Pur. The seasons really dictate how we work. When the monsoon hits, everything slows down because you can't dry bricks in the rain. It gets very muddy and messy around here during those months. But when the sun is out, we are working from dawn until dusk. It is a local business and most of the people who work here are from the nearby villages. We don't do much advertising or have a polished website. Usually, people just know we are here and they come by when they are building a house or a wall. It is hard work, and your clothes are always covered in red dust, but it is what we know how to do. We just keep the kiln burning and the bricks moving across the yard until the day is done.
