Bhakar Namkeen Store

Bhakar Namkeen Store is located in Ward No 28. We are right near the Ramdass Mota Garg School here in Rajgarh Tehsil. Having the school nearby means we get a lot of noise and energy in the afternoons. Kids stop by for a small snack after their classes are done. We make various types of namkeen right here. It’s a lot of frying and mixing spices. The air always has a bit of a spicy scent to it. I started this shop because I like making these snacks. It isn't a factory. It's just a small room where we do everything by hand. We pack the snacks into clear bags and stack them up. Some days the humidity makes it hard to keep things crispy so we have to be careful with how we store everything. The counter is just an old wooden table. We don't have a fancy sign, just the name painted on the wall. People from the village know us well. They come by for their evening snacks or when they have guests visiting. I usually stay late to clean up the oil and prep for the next day. It’s hard work on the legs but I don't mind it. We just want to make something that tastes good and keep the shop going for another day. It’s a quiet life in Rajgarh but we stay busy enough. We will be frying again tomorrow.
