Sumit Industries

The workshop is located at Plot No 9/p in Tata Nagar Mailardevpally. It’s a busy industrial area and you can hear the machines running from the street. We’ve got a mix of old and new equipment on the floor. Most days start with a cup of tea while we look at what needs to be cut or shaped. The address is Sy No 134/20, which can be a bit tricky for delivery drivers to find the first time they come here. We do a lot of metal work and the floor is usually covered in small scraps by noon. We sweep it up, but it just gets messy again in an hour. That is just the nature of what we do here at Sumit Industries. The ceiling fans don't do much when the big machines are running hot, so we keep the doors open for some air. It’s mostly local guys working here who live nearby. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. Just a few of us making sure the parts get finished on time. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend half the day fixing it ourselves. It’s frustrating but part of the job. We keep a stock of raw materials in the corner so we don't run out mid-week. It’s a simple operation and we like it that way. Most of the neighbors know us and stop by to chat.
