Sri Govind Polymers

If you head down to the industrial estate in Kattedan and look for Road No 25, you will find Sri Govind Polymers at Plot No 85. It is a typical industrial setup with high ceilings and the constant low hum of machinery in the background. We work with plastics here, so there is often that specific smell of warm polymers in the air when the heaters are on. We make various plastic parts that other local factories use for their own products. The machines run for most of the day, and we have a small team that monitors the output to make sure nothing is coming out warped or the wrong color. Kattedan is a rugged area, and we have been a part of it for a good number of years. Our office is just a small cabin partitioned off from the main factory floor so we can actually hear ourselves talk when a customer calls. We don't have much in the way of decoration, just some calendars and samples of our plastic work on the shelves. The guys on the floor know their jobs very well, and we try to keep things moving as smoothly as possible. Sometimes the raw material pellets arrive a day late, and we have to adjust our production schedule accordingly. We deal with other local businesses mostly. We aren't a big corporation, just a local unit making plastic goods. It is hard work, especially when the weather is hot, but we get it done.
