M K Narrow Fabrics

Our factory units are M/59 and M/66 in the Kattedan industrial area. If you know Kattedan, you know it is a place where things are always moving and there is a lot of dust from all the different manufacturing units around us. We specialize in narrow fabrics, which basically means we make things like tapes, ribbons, and webbing. The machines we use are quite loud and they run for most of the day, weaving threads into whatever specific width we need. It is a very hands-on job. We spend our time checking the looms, making sure the thread doesn't snap, and packing up the finished rolls. The space is filled with big spools of yarn in all sorts of colors. It’s not a showroom; it’s a working floor with concrete ground and rows of machinery. Sometimes it gets quite hot inside, especially during the summer months when the metal roofaks up the heat. We don't have a big fancy office, just a small corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. Most of our neighbors are also making things, so there is a constant sound of engines and trucks in the background. We have been working out of these two units for a while now and we have a routine that works for us. We just get the orders done, pack them in bags, and wait for the transport to pick them up for delivery to whoever needs them next.
