We’ve been operating out of Sriram Nagar in Gaganpahad for a good while now. The address is 7 3 67/6, which is tucked away in a spot that can be a bit hard to find if you aren't looking for the sign. Vijaytara Flexi Packaging Pvt. Ltd. sounds like a big fancy name, but really it’s just a group of us working with these machines every day. The smell of plastic and ink is pretty much always in the air here. We spend a lot of time adjusting the rolls and making sure everything is running right. It gets hot in the summer, especially near the back of the floor where the ventilation isn't as good as the front. We usually have the radio playing to keep things from getting too quiet, though the machines make plenty of noise on their own. Gaganpahad is a busy area with a lot of trucks moving around, so things stay dusty. We try to keep the floors swept, but it’s a losing battle most days. Our neighbors are mostly other small shops and sheds doing similar work. We’ve had some of the same guys working here for years, and we all just know what needs to be done without talking about it too much. Lunch breaks are usually taken sitting on some of the older crates near the entrance. It’s a straightforward life here. We just make the packaging and move it out as fast as it’s finished.
