We are based out in Chittorgarh. It is a place with a lot of history, but our day-to-day life is more about the work at hand than the old forts. The sun can be pretty brutal here, so the office is usually a place to find some shade and get the paperwork sorted. We don't have a complicated address with a lot of building names, just being here in Chittorgarh is enough for people to find us. Simplex Infrastructures Limited has a presence here because there is always something being built or fixed. Our office is pretty basic. We have some desks, some old cupboards for the files, and a lot of maps pinned to the walls. It isn't the kind of place where you need a suit and tie. We wear clothes that can handle a bit of dust because we are often out on the sites. We don't go in for big marketing speeches or try to sound like a multinational corporation. We are just a group of people working on infrastructure projects in this part of Rajasthan. We take our breaks when we can and try to keep things organized. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or use the generator if it’s really urgent. It’s a straightforward life. We focus on the concrete and the steel and making sure the numbers add up at the end of the month.
