Down here in Beawar, cement is what we know best. Our office is tucked away in Daya Nagar, just off the Ajmer Road. It’s a busy area because of all the transport trucks moving through to the highway. We work out of house number 66, and it’s a pretty simple, no-nonsense setup. There’s usually a stack of delivery slips on the table and someone drinking tea while waiting for a truck to arrive or depart. Cement isn’t a complicated thing to talk about, but it’s heavy and hard work to move every day. We spend our time making sure the bags get to where they need to go, whether it’s a small house being built nearby or a bigger project out of town. The dust is part of the life here and you can see it on everything. You get used to it after a few days. We’ve been at this for a while, and the people in the neighborhood know us by name. It’s not some big glass building with air conditioning; it’s just a practical office where we handle the logistics. Dealing with the heat in Rajasthan is part of the daily routine too. We try to start early to beat the sun when we can. There’s a lot of coordination between the plant and the buyers. It’s about having enough stock and getting the transport sorted. We don’t use fancy systems, just a lot of phone calls and ledger books. We just keep the bags moving.
