Out at the Nagri Camp in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, is where Soma Enterprise.Com is set up. It’s a bit of a rugged location because it is a camp site near the CGGC area. This isn't your typical office with carpets and glass walls. It’s more of a functional base for the work we do in the field. The surroundings are quite rocky and dry, which is typical for this part of Rajasthan. We have a few portable structures and a main building where the administrative stuff happens. Dust is a constant companion here, so we’ve stopped trying to keep everything perfectly clean. We have a lot of people coming in and out, mostly workers and site supervisors. There is always a pot of tea going because it's the only way to keep everyone moving through the heat. The internet can be patchy, so we sometimes have to drive into town to send big files. It’s a quiet place at night, but during the day it’s full of activity and noise. We don't have any fancy landscaping or a nice entrance. It’s just a gate and a fence. Most of us stay in the camp or live in Chittorgarh town and commute in. It’s a tough environment, but the team is used to it. We don't talk much about corporate visions; we just talk about what needs to be hauled or built next.
