Hindustan Zinc Limited

We are located on Second Street in Bharathi Nagar, right here in Chennai. It’s a relatively quiet street compared to the main roads. The building is number 15. Working for Hindustan Zinc Limited from this office means dealing with a lot of humidity, but we have some good fans to keep the air moving. Our daily routine involves a lot of data entry and keeping track of various shipments. The office is basically one large room with a few partitions. We’ve got a small area where we keep the kettle for coffee and tea. Most of us have been working here together for a couple of years now, so we know each other's habits. We don't have any fancy posters or mission statements on the walls. It’s mostly just calendars and maps. The windows look out onto the street, and we see the local vendors passing by every morning. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes it hard to get here on time, but once we’re inside, it’s a calm place to work. We spend our time checking through inventory lists and responding to emails. It’s a very standard office life. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We just show up, do the filing, talk to the other branches, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s a practical, no-frills kind of place that serves its purpose well for the company.
