We are based right at the Chanderiya Lead Zinc Smelter. This isn't your typical office building in a city center. It’s right where the heavy work happens for Hindustan Zinc Ltd. If you come here, you’ll see the scale of the operation. Our office is tucked away within the complex. It’s loud and busy most of the time. There is always a hum from the machinery and trucks coming in and out. We don't have a fancy reception area. Instead, we have people in boots and work clothes moving around. We deal with the logistics and the local management for this site. It’s a practical environment. We focus on the daily output and making sure the staff have what they need to stay on track. It’s dusty, and the air smells like industry, but that’s the reality of working at a smelter. We don't spend money on expensive furniture or decorations. We spend our time looking at reports and coordinating with the different sections of the plant. It’s a tough environment, but we’ve all been doing this for years. It’s just how things are at Chanderiya. We show up, do the work, and go home. We have a small canteen where we eat lunch and talk about the day's events. It is a no-nonsense kind of place for people who like to work hard every day.
