Hindustan Zinc Limited

We are based over at Sf-10 in the C-Wing of the Officers Hostel here on Kapasan Road. Being part of Hindustan Zinc Limited means living and working right in the heart of the Zinc Colony. It’s a busy place with a lot of movement. You see the same faces every morning at the mess hall or walking down the dusty halls. The Rajasthan sun gets incredibly hot during the middle of the day, so we mostly stay inside the office wing. This room is where we handle the daily logs and the local coordination for the Chittorgarh operations. It’s not a big corporate setup with glass partitions or modern art. It’s just a plain room with some sturdy wooden tables and old ceiling fans that hum a bit too loud. We’ve got stacks of paper that need filing and someone is always on the phone talking about shipments or equipment. Living in the colony means work and life kind of blur together, which is just how it is here for us. Most of us have been around for years and we know how the whole system works. It’s a tight community in Zinc Nagar. You can hear the sounds of the town outside the gates, but once you get into the work, you don't notice it much. We just focus on getting through the tasks for the day and making sure everything is ready for the next shift. It is a simple way of life here.
