Birla Cement

You can find us at 17E/430 in the Chopasni Housing Board area of Jodhpur. This is where we handle things for Birla Cement. It is a pretty standard housing board neighborhood, so it is quite calm compared to the main city markets. Our office is just a regular building where we keep track of all the cement orders for this part of Rajasthan. The Jodhpur sun is always bright, so the building stays quite warm throughout the day. We have a few desks, some chairs for people to sit while they wait, and a lot of stacks of paper. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to local contractors who need supplies for their building projects. We don't have any big mission statements on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a map of the area. It is a simple life here in the housing board. We know the people around us and they know we are the ones to talk to about cement. Sometimes the supply is a bit slow and we have to explain the delays to people, but mostly it is just steady work. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We are just local staff making sure the construction work in Jodhpur keeps moving forward with the supplies they need. It is a job that keeps us busy and we like the routine of it. We just do our work day by day.
