Down in Sambhpura, right by the Aditya Cement plant in Chittorgarh, we’re right in the thick of the action. This is the industrial heart of the area, and you can feel it in the air every day. We don’t spend time on fancy decorations or trying to look important. Our days are filled with the sound of machinery and the constant movement of heavy vehicles. It’s a busy life here in Rajasthan, and we are just one part of the machine that keeps the cement moving. We handle the Grasim Cement Industries side of things, which means a lot of paperwork and even more physical labor. The heat in Chittorgarh can be brutal, but the work doesn’t stop for the sun. We mostly focus on getting the loads ready for the long hauls. Sometimes the dust is so thick you can’t see the gate, but we just keep going. It’s an honest, hard-working environment. We aren't here to give sales pitches or use big words. If the cement is there, we load it. If there’s a delay at the plant, we wait. We’ve seen the landscape change quite a bit as more people build around here, and it’s interesting to be right at the source of it all. We just show up, do the work, and try to keep the yard as organized as possible under the circumstances. It’s a basic life but a good one for anyone who doesn't mind getting their hands a bit dirty.
