J.K. Cement Works, Nimbahera

Our office for J.K. Cement Works is in Nimbahera. We are located at B-11 in Kailash Nagar, which is a fairly quiet part of town in the Chittorgarh district. The building is a simple structure that serves its purpose well. Rajasthan can get incredibly hot, so we spend a lot of time making sure the coolers are running. Inside, the setup is pretty basic. We have some heavy metal filing cabinets and a few desks that have been around for a long time. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll see people in suits and ties. We wear what’s practical for the heat and the work. A lot of our day involves coordinating with the plant and making sure the distribution side is running smoothly. We don't have any big corporate slogans on the walls. Instead, we have calendars and maps of the local area pinned up. It’s a very hands-on environment. Sometimes the dust from the cement production nearby settles on everything, so we are always cleaning up. We know our regulars by name and they know us. It’s just a group of people working hard in a small office in Kailash Nagar. We don't try to make it sound better than it is; it’s just a workspace where things get done. We just focus on keeping the trucks moving and the orders filled as they come in.
