Jayavel Exports

We are over here at Old Number 50, which is now New Number 62 on Arthoon Road in Royapuram. It’s a bit of a confusing address if you aren't from around here, but the locals know where Jayavel Exports is located. Our building is one of those older structures that has seen better days, yet it holds up well for what we do. Inside, it’s mostly just us and a lot of boxes stacked up against the walls. The air usually smells a bit like dust and old paper. We spend most of our mornings going through shipping lists and making sure the counts are right. Royapuram is a busy place, so there is always the sound of horns and people shouting outside our windows. It can get a bit distracting, but you get used to the rhythm of the street after a few weeks. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a person to greet you at the door. You usually just walk in and find someone working at a desk or moving a crate. We make tea around eleven, and that's usually the only time things quiet down for a bit. It’s not a polished operation, but we get the work done. The furniture is mismatched, and the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound, but it’s our space. We focus on the export side of things, mostly handling the logistics that nobody else wants to do. It's just a regular job.
