If you're looking for Rajendra Interiors, we are tucked away at 111/1402A on Kamachiamman Street. It’s a bit of a tight spot, but we’ve made it work for a long time. Our days are mostly spent looking at sketches and trying to figure out how to fit furniture into rooms that are never as big as they look on paper. We deal with a lot of different materials, from wood to glass and metal. Sometimes a client wants something very specific and we have to hunt around the city to find the right hinge or the right shade of laminate. It’s a lot of measuring and re-measuring because even a few millimeters can mess up a whole cabinet. The street gets crowded in the mornings, so we usually get our heavy stuff delivered early before the traffic gets bad. It’s not a corporate office with air conditioning everywhere; it’s more of a place where we keep our samples and meet people to talk about their houses. We try to keep things simple and clear. When we take on a job, we stay until it's finished, even if that means working late some nights to get the trim right. It feels good to see a room change from an empty box into something someone actually wants to live in. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking, just solid interior work for the people around here who need their spaces fixed up or renovated. It is a messy job but we like it.
