Working out of No. 1062- A in the Cotton Market means we are always surrounded by the smell of raw fabric and the sound of loaders. Gt Exports has been here for a while. The Cotton Market is a frantic place, especially in the early mornings when the new loads come in. Our office is small and tucked away, but it serves its purpose. We spend most of our time dealing with the export side of the textile trade. There are stacks of fabric samples everywhere and our shelves are overflowing with folders. It’s not a polished showroom. It’s a working office where we deal with real products and real deadlines. Sometimes the noise from the market makes it hard to hear on the phone, so we have to shout a bit. We don’t use any fancy software, just some basic spreadsheets and a lot of handwritten notes. The people around here are hardworking, and we try to keep up with that pace. We grab food from the stalls in the market and keep the office open late if a shipment is running behind. It’s a gritty environment, but it feels real. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a lobby or a receptionist. We just focus on getting the cotton goods where they need to go. It’s a tough business sometimes, but we’ve got a good handle on how the market works after all this time.
