Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Auto Spares

Our shop is down at Dr.No.2/195/1 on the Main Road in Rajampet, Kadapa. Being on the main road means we deal with a lot of dust and noise from the trucks passing by all day. We mostly have auto spares, so our place is full of metal parts, gaskets, and heavy boxes. There is usually a bit of grease on the counter and our clothes, but that is just the nature of the business. We have been here for a good number of years, helping people find the right part for their vehicles. It is not always easy to find what someone needs right away because our filing system is mostly in our heads. We have stacks of catalogues that are years old, but they still come in handy. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, so we usually pull down the awning to keep it cool inside. We don’t have a fancy showroom, just a lot of shelves and a small desk where we write out the bills by hand. Most of our customers are local mechanics or people who like to fix their own bikes. We spend a lot of time explaining how certain parts fit, even if we aren't mechanics ourselves. It is a busy life, and there is always someone pulling up with a broken-down vehicle. We just do what we can to help them get back on the road without making a big fuss about it. It works for us. We open up early and stay until dark.
