National Dairy Development Board

Our office is right on the 1st Main Road in Seethanagaram. If you're looking for 4-11-72, it’s the building with the gate that sticks a little bit when you try to open it. Working for the National Dairy Development Board means we spend a lot of time looking at papers and talking about local milk production. It’s a quiet enough spot, though the traffic on the main road can get loud during the afternoon rush. We have a couple of old wooden desks and some files that have been here longer than I have. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy with the daily chores to worry about that. Sometimes the milk collectors come by early in the morning, and that’s when the place really wakes up. We mostly just keep to our schedule and try to get through the paperwork. It’s practical work. We don't really do anything flashy. There’s a small tea shop around the corner where we go when we need a break from the fluorescent lights. Seethanagaram is a decent place to work, even if the summers are a bit much. We just keep the files moving and make sure the accounts are okay. It’s just us doing what needs to be done for the dairy side of things in this part of town. We’ve been here long enough that we don't really notice the noise anymore.
