Everest Industries

Our place is at 6-51 on Maredubaka Road in Mandapeta. It’s an old building and the paint is peeling a bit in the corners. We do industrial work here, so it’s usually quite loud with the sound of machines and metal hitting metal. Most of the guys who work here have been with us for a decade. We aren’t a big company with a lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, you just walk through the main gate and find someone in a grease-stained shirt. We make parts and do basic manufacturing for the local area. The road outside gets muddy when it rains, and sometimes the trucks have a hard time backing in. We have a small office in the front where we keep the ledgers and a very old computer that takes forever to start up. Mandapeta is a small town, so news travels fast if we do something wrong, which keeps us on our toes. We drink a lot of tea while we work. At noon, we shut off the big machines for an hour to eat our tiffins. It’s honest work and we don't try to make it sound more important than it is. We just focus on getting the orders finished so we can load the trucks. The sun gets really hot in the afternoons, making the tin roof pop and creak. That’s just the way it has always been at Everest Industries.
