Wooden Art & Furniture

If you walk down into Baijnath Para, you'll find our shop, Wooden Art & Furniture. It smells like sawdust and varnish most days. We spend a lot of time working with our hands. It's not a big factory with machines doing everything. We do things the old way because that’s what we learned. Sometimes a piece takes longer than we thought it would, but that’s just how wood works. It has its own mind. We have some stuff finished and ready to look at, but a lot of the time we’re just in the middle of a project. People from around the neighborhood stop in to chat or see what we’re making. It’s a bit cluttered in here, with wood scraps and tools all over the benches. We don't mind the mess much. It shows we’re busy. We don't have a big marketing plan or a sales team. It's just us and the wood. If you want something, we talk about it, figure out a price, and get started. We’ve been in Baijnath Para for quite some time now and like the feel of the place. It’s home for us. We just keep our heads down and keep building things that people can use in their houses for a long time. It’s a quiet life, mostly. Sometimes the wood shipments are late, or the weather is too humid for the glue, but we just wait it out and keep going.
