You can find our shop, number 248, right near G H Plaza in the Amapara area. We are directly opposite R D Tiwari High School, so we get to hear the school bell and the kids shouting during their breaks. It’s a lively spot to be. We work with scales, so our shop is full of different kinds of weighing machines. Some are for small shops and others are for bigger industrial uses. There’s usually a bit of dust because we’re often opening up old machines to see why they aren’t balancing right. We’ve been in this part of Amapara for quite some time. The locals know us, and we often have people dropping by just to ask a quick question or get a small part replaced. It’s a practical business. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a working shop where things are stored on metal shelves and tools are spread out on the workbench. Sometimes we’re out on calls, visiting factories to check their heavy-duty scales, so the shop might be run by just one person for a few hours. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The space is a bit cramped because scales take up more room than you’d think. We just keep things moving and try to help anyone who walks through the door with a weighing problem. It’s a steady, local life for us here at Shop 248.
