Uttam Collection

Uttam Collection is located at Shop No. 71 in the I.G.V.P area. We are right in front of the Bank of India, so if you find the bank, you have basically found us. The shop is one of many in this row, but we have our own way of doing things. We sell clothes and various items that people in the neighborhood need. It is a small space, so we have to use every inch of the walls for shelving. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when there are more than three people inside. We spend a lot of time folding things and putting them back after people look through them. The Bank of India across the way always has a queue outside, especially in the mornings. We watch the crowd while we wait for our own customers. The floor in the shop is tile, and we sweep it out a couple of times a day because people bring in dirt from the street. It is a modest living, but we enjoy being part of the I.G.V.P community. We know the other shopkeepers around here and we talk shop sometimes. We usually close up when the bank staff starts heading home. It is not a fancy boutique, just a local shop called Uttam Collection where we try to keep things organized and simple for everyone who stops by.
