Our business, Tirupati Balaji Foods Processing Private Limited, is located over in Village Kohaka near Tilda Neora. We’re set up at Ghanshyam Lal Agrawal’s place. It’s a bit of a drive out of Raipur, but being near the source of the crops makes a lot of sense for us. The facility is a real working environment, with trucks coming in and out at all hours during the peak harvest season. It can get pretty loud and dusty when the processing machines are running full tilt. We don't have any fancy signs or a polished reception area for visitors. If you come to see us, you’ll probably find us out on the floor or in the small office area checking the weights and measures on the clipboards. Most of the people working here are from the surrounding villages, so it feels more like a community effort than a corporate job. We focus on processing food products without any of the corporate jargon you see in the big cities. It’s honest work that leaves you tired at the end of the day. We deal with the local weather and the occasional power cuts just like everyone else around here. It’s not always easy, but we’ve built something we’re proud of in Kohaka. We just keep our heads down and focus on finishing the day’s tasks before we head home.
