Blackshine Perfumers

Blackshine Perfumers is over in Marhi Tilda, right near the Hotel School. We’ve been working out of this spot for a while. Making scents is what we do all day. It’s a bit of a messy process sometimes with all the oils and bottles. The shop always smells like a mix of different things, which I guess is expected. We aren't a big factory. It’s more of a small workshop where we blend things. Sometimes a batch doesn't turn out exactly how we thought, so we have to adjust it. We sell to locals and some people who travel through Marhi. It’s not a high-end boutique with carpets. We have wooden shelves and glass jars everywhere. We spend a lot of time sourcing the ingredients. Some of the stuff comes from quite far away. My brother and I handle most of the orders. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. People find us because they like the way the stuff smells or they know someone who bought a bottle. We just keep our heads down and work on the blends. It can get quite hot in the back during the summer months. We usually stay open until the evening. If you’re near the hotel school, you can probably find us without much trouble. It's a simple business, just making perfumes and selling them from our shop.
