Sumit Charitable Foundation

Sumit Charitable Foundation is located right in the middle of things at the City Center Mall in Pandri. We are up on the third floor inside the 36Inc space. It’s a bit different from having a standalone office because there is always so much noise and movement from the mall downstairs. You hear the shoppers and the music from the stores sometimes, but it keeps the energy high. Raipur is a fast-growing city, and being in Pandri puts us right in the heart of the commercial hub. We share the floor with a lot of other startups and small groups, so there is always someone new to talk to in the hallway. Our team is small, mostly just a couple of us who wanted to do something charitable without all the corporate red tape. We don't have a big budget for advertising, so we rely on people finding us through word of mouth or just seeing the name on the directory. It gets really crowded on weekends, so we usually try to get our most important tasks done early in the week. Working out of a mall might seem strange for a foundation, but it makes us very accessible to anyone passing through. We just want to be a practical resource for the city. It’s a bit of a climb to the third floor if the lifts are busy, but we don't mind the walk.
