Studio Adiva

Studio Adiva is on the first floor of a building right on the Main Road in Samta Colony. If you are looking for us in Raipur, just find the Sikarpuri Dharmshala—we are pretty much right opposite that. Being at No 204 means we have a good view of the street life below. Samta Colony is a lively place, and there is always something happening outside. Our studio is where we put our ideas together. It is not a huge place, but we have made it work for us over the years. We have racks of fabrics, piles of magazines, and a lot of sketches scattered around. We spend our days talking to people about their homes and trying to figure out what they actually need. It is more about listening than anything else. We have got a small kettle in the corner for tea, which we drink a lot of. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, but you get used to them. We like being in this part of town because it feels central and easy for people to drop by. There is no big corporate hierarchy here; it is just a few of us who enjoy the process of making a space look right. We do not always get it perfect on the first try, but we keep at it until the client is happy with the plan.
